We ask that you carefully read this E911 disclosure statement and understand how these differences affect your ability to access E911 services. If you have any questions or concerns about the information contained in this notice, or if you do not understand anything discussed in this notice, please contact our Customer Service representatives at 1-800-951-7424 during the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST. By using VetsTelecom service, you affirmatively acknowledge that: You have read and understood this E911 disclosure statement. You understand that you may not be able to contact emergency services by dialling 9-1-1 using VetsTelecom. You understand that you must inform users of VetsTelecom that they may not be able to contact emergency services by dialling 9-1-1 using VetsTelecom. If you notice that the service address information identified in your contract or bill is inaccurate, you can make corrections by calling our Customer Service representatives at 1-800-951-7424 during the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST, or by editing your E911 Physical address online. VetsTelecom E911 services calls may not complete or may be routed to emergency personnel who will not be able to assist you if you disable, damage or move the voip device to a location other than the service address you provided to VetsTelecom when service was initiated. If you wish to move to a new service address or report damage to your voip device, please call either your sales representative or Customer Service representatives at 1-800-951-7424 during the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST.
VetsTelecom E911 services calls may be delayed or dropped due to network architecture. Due to network congestion or problems, calls to E911 services made using VetsTelecom may be dropped, in which case you will not be connected to emergency services, or your E911 calls may take longer to connect than E911 calls made using traditional telephone service. In addition, you should maintain alternate means of contacting E911 services, and you must inform your VetsTelecom users of these alternate means. You will receive from VetsTelecom a set of stickers explaining when E911 service may not be available. Please place the stickers on or near the equipment you use to access VetsTelecom to alert users of alternate means of contacting E911 in the event of an emergency. If you need additional stickers, please contact our Customer Service representatives at 1-800-951-7424 during the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST.
VetsTelecom E911 Services are now compliant with Kari’s Law! VetsTelecom has added notification features to our E911 platform in compliance with Kari’s Law. This means these notifications are sent by text, voice, or push notification each time 911 is dialled on the account and are meant to allow on-site staff (e.g., security or reception) to quickly direct first responders to where help has been requested. The following message is read by the system if anyone calls back the 911 notification number 1-800-951-7424 and is unsure of the call: “You have reached the E911 message notification platform at VetsTelecom. Please note this number is not monitored and does not record messages. If you have an emergency, please hang up and dial 911. If you have received a call or text message from this number, you have been listed as an emergency contact for your company’s VetsTelecom Telephone System.
